Founded by Isaiah Finklin on a simple frustration.
Isaiah spent years pulling cable, standing up racks and troubleshooting connections that other people had installed in a hurry. The pattern was always the same: the work was fine on the day it was billed, and a problem for everyone who touched it afterward.
FinkIT started to do it the other way. Plan the site before ordering the gear. Pull more fiber than today needs, because the labor is the expense and the ground only gets opened once. Label everything. Leave documentation a stranger can follow.
That approach turned out to matter most where infrastructure is hardest to come by — rural homes, small businesses, community buildings and the properties in between. A network there isn't a convenience. It's how people run a livelihood, reach a doctor and stay in touch with their families.
So we treat both halves of the job as real: the people who depend on the connection, and the land the connection runs through. Careful siting, minimal disturbance, equipment rated for the weather it will actually see, and a plan for the decades after we leave.
