How to Set Up a Secure Remote Work Environment
Remote access is an infrastructure decision, not a software purchase. Identity, device posture and network path all have to line up.

A secure remote setup rests on three legs: who the person is, what device they're on, and how their traffic reaches your systems. Weakening any one of them undermines the other two.
Start with identity. Central accounts, enforced MFA and prompt offboarding do more for your risk profile than any tunnel technology.
Then device posture. Company data belongs on managed, encrypted, patched machines. Where personal devices are unavoidable, keep the data in browser-based sessions rather than on local disks.
Only then choose the network path. Modern zero-trust access is usually simpler to run and safer than a flat site-to-site VPN that hands every laptop the run of the office.
